NEWS: APRIL 19, 2012, Re: Spring Warm Up – Practices & Matches
Hi Everyone,
I wanted to tell you that we ended up canceling the practice last Sunday (4/15) after 20 minutes due to lightning and rain. Of course, once all the kids got picked up it was sunny again. Anyway, I am adding a practice on Saturday April 21st at Centennial, from 1 to 3 pm to make up the one we missed and to get ready for our first match on Sunday April 22nd from 2 to 4 pm.
Also I wanted to tell you that the other academies that I am doing this program with (Meadows & Broomfield) are having some trouble matching our number of players (we have 27 players in our Spring Warm Up right now and we are expecting more). Last week we invited other clubs to send some kids to play this coming Sunday, so I hope we end up with enough players. If that is not the case, then our kids will be playing a round robin tournament divided by age and/or levels.

Boulder Smash Team Spring Warm-up
Join our team earlier this year by participating in this new program focusing on practicing and match playing. The Spring Warm-up is a great program to learn how to play a match and to gear up for the Summer Competition season.
The Spring Warm-up will also be the first introduction at playing with the new Quick Start lining system for our players who are 10 years and younger. For more information on the new system please visit the USTA website.
Important Spring Warm-up Dates:
Practices: April 1st, April 8th, April 22nd, May 6th, & May 20th
Matches: April 15th, April 29th, & May 13th
USTA Play Day: EBCC, May 19th from 1:00 – 4:00pm

Our Tennis Party is right around the corner! Come meet our team! We are hosting our annual tennis party at the Centennial Middle School Tennis Courts on October 15, 2011 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Free event – everybody is welcome! (The tennis courts are at 2205 Norwood Ave, Boulder, CO).
