Gonzo

Gonzo is from a small town in Cordoba, Argentina. At the age of 15 he moved to Buenos Aires. He played his first tournament when he was 7. As a Junior player he was the #2 ranked player in his state and held the #10 ranking in the whole of Argentina. As a teenager he played 1st & 2nd Division in Buenos Aires. He has played professionally in Italy, Spain and France. He started teaching tennis at age 15, helping his father. He got his first job as a Tennis Director while in Argentina and has been teaching for 25 years ever since. He has taught in Argentina, Italy, Spain, and now Boulder, Colorado, USA.

GonzoTennis

Gonzo Tennis was founded in 2004 by Gonzalo "Gonzo" Garcia with the idea of bringing quality tennis programs to the Boulder community. Since then, Gonzo Tennis has shared the courts with players from ages 3 to 75 through programs for kids and adults.

Matt

Matt started on the court with Gonzo in 2003. He played Varsity Tennis in the fall of 2003, as a Freshman in high school, and remained on the varsity team through his 4 years. He was an All Conference player as a Junior and Senior, and represented his conference in the State Tournament, also as a Junior and Senior. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado with concentrations in Economics and Political Science. Matt, the businessman, is an accomplished racquet technician and stringer. In his free time he enjoys golf, cycling and rock climbing.
